I once had a horrible mentally ill neighbour who would address me only as Milhouse. Worse than that, i was once given a job that i was grossly underqualified for because i had a vague resemblance to Paul from the wonder years. Worse still, I was once singled out at a comedy show as "the guy that looks like Ichabod Crane."
I'm moving october 1st so i'm going thru alot of my old crap. i stumbled upon these portraits from many years ago. It's so weird seeing how i used to draw, i wish i still had this kind of patience. It's also weird how when your brain isn't bogged down with conventions and rules you really rely on your observation skills.

Wow!! The most remarkable thing just happened at my local Waves café. Right when depression was kicking in due to my inexplicable tendency to draw the same boring shit over and over, I was struck by such an awe inspiring jolt of artistic inspiration that, quite frankly, it baffles the mind. It occurred to me when drawing Asians on laptop computers that the addition of superhero baristas flying around the café was artistic innovation the likes of which hasn’t been seen since Cezanne and his pears. Imagine if you will, humble old me sitting around drawing people in chairs from ¾ back views, when all of a sudden arty cunning struck with such power that I’m surprised my pencil didn’t catch fire.
